21 Days in John - John 1, Day 1

Come and see. The invitation of Jesus to follow.

John 1:35-39
35 The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. 36 When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”
37 When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus.38 Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, “What do you want?”
They said, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?”
39 “Come,” he replied, “and you will see.”
Discussion Questions
Read John 1:35-51
What does this passage reveal to us about who Jesus is and what he's able to do? (Make a list.)
In this passage we see people becoming disciples of Jesus in a variety of ways: 1)through the influence of a spiritual leader, 2) through the invitation of a friend, and 3) through a direct invitation from Jesus. Which of these ways resonates the most with your own story?
Who have been like John the Baptist in your life?
Who have been like the Andrew of this passage in your life?
Have you ever had a time when you “heard” the direct invitation of Jesus? What was that like?
