Some topics are harder than others.
They are raw, personal, fragile, difficult.
We live in a Social Media world. But too often social media gives us "drive-by opinions" more than a real conversation. There has to be a way to talk about hard things without our relationships blowing up. There is.
For the next three weeks, we will be taking an honest, biblical look at three especially difficult subjects:
August 19 - "My Son is Gay. What Now?"
How to love LGBT friends and family without biblical compromise.
August 26 - "Help, I'm a Porn Addict!"
Finding help, hope, and healing with our private sins.
September 2 - "Can't We All Just Vote For Jesus?"
How to have political conversations without division.
The morning message will introduce the topic as well as some resources for deeper conversation and biblical study. Then Sunday night, we will offer a Q&A and discussion forum where we can have honest conversations.
To help that happen, we're shutting down our Podcast and YouTube Videocast for three weeks. The recordings and resources will be available upon request if you would like them for your own discussion groups, but here's the thing - we want you to actually talk with someone else about them.
Send an email to office@columbiagrove.org and we will look forward to sending you the discussion resources.
